Stop doing what isn’t working,
start doing what is

I will be permanently deleting my Meta account on May 15th, 2025.

Why?

Primarily because it isn’t working for me.

It’s not you, it’s Me(ta)

The truth is, Facebook and Instagram haven’t been working for me for a long time.

I’ve spent thousands of hours sucked into the news feed.

Over and over again, I’ve subjected myself to the latest fake news, rage bait, and political polarization.

Sure, there have been some good moments too.

Some laughs, some connections, some interesting rabbit holes.

But now with my government going after people based on what they liked on Instagram, it’s just not worth it anymore.

Billionaire-owned social media has become a tracking service for dictatorships to target their perceived “enemies”:

People like you and me who want Peace and Love and Justice for all.

But as I remind myself every morning:

The world does not lead me, I lead the world.
The world does not lead me into war, I lead the world into peace.
The world does not lead me into chaos, I lead the world into clarity.
The world does not lead me into fear, I lead the world into safety.
The world does not lead me into anger, I lead the world into love.
The world does not lead me into despair, I lead the world into hope.

I am not here to be led into darkness, but to lead the world into light.
And no one can stop me.

Embracing the mystery

There’s only one reason I haven’t deleted my Meta account in the past:

Fear of the unknown.

  • “What if I need my Facebook account to contact someone?”
  • “What if Instagram is the only way I can grow my business?”
  • “What if there’s an event or opportunity I’m missing out on?”

But all our fears are based in hidden assumptions.

In this case, the assumption is “I can’t meet my needs elsewhere.”

And that is bullshit.

The reality is this:

As soon as we stop doing what isn’t working, we immediately have more time and energy to do something that does work.

We don’t even have to know what that is yet.

Every time I’ve “taken a break” from social media in the past, I’ve been bored for a few days.

But I’ve also felt a sense of freedom and lightness.

Within a week I don’t even miss it.

I start to get lots of creative ideas for how to grow my business.

I start reaching out to people I want to connect with.

I start creating my own opportunities.

And my life feels richer because of it.

Create the new

Often when a new coaching client describes their problem, I feel confused.

I used to not know why this was.

But now I do.

The way they are thinking about their problem is causing it.

I’m confused because I’m not thinking about reality that way.

Which is also why I don’t have the same issue!

The solution to our problems is not to try to fix all our problems from within the old way of seeing things.

But to first gently loosen up the old trance.

To “trance-end” the old problem, if you will.

Then we can “trance-form” a new way of thinking about it.

The paradigm of corporate, billionaire-owned social media is dying.

Despite appearances, I also think the paradigm of dictatorship, fascism, war, and genocide is dying.

Because these are just symptoms of The Punishment Paradigm.

Luckily, we can instantly, at any moment, be a part of creating the new paradigm.

It’s a paradigm of Love and Joy and Oneness.

I simply call it The Progress Paradigm.

At any moment we can remember we have choice.

And that there are infinite possibilities for things we can do.

We can bring love and compassion to any situation.

And we can aim for a win-win solution.

No one can stop you from feeling gratitude, cultivating loving-kindness, or speaking your mind about what you believe is right and good.

And what a wonderful thing that is to realize.

Take care,
